Overview

GridX consists of six products, Design, Analyze, Empower, Explore, Advise, and Calculate, all enabled by the GridX Rate Engine. Together, these core components make up the GridX Enterprise Rate Platform that supports utilities across the entire Rates Lifecycle.

The below diagram shows the high-level architecture of the GridX platform, including

• Data Integration from utilities' Customer Information Systems (CIS), Metering Data Management (MDM), and Legacy Metering applications into the GridX Customer and Interval Databases.

• With tariff documentation and utility guidance, GridX configures rates with Rate Model UI into the Rate Model Database. Together with the Customer and Usage Data, this enables the GridX Rate Engine and all GridX Products:

  • Design new rates​

  • Analyze rate scenarios against historical​

  • Empower APIs​

  • Explore Customer-facing Widgets​

  • Advise CSR and KAM tools​

  • Calculate Billing with integration back to CIS
