Digital Rate Calibration

Background

GridX supports a variety of what-if analyses from simple rate comparisons to DER adoption scenarios. GridX clients and their customers rely on these capabilities for decision-making but there is no “source of truth” for these calculations. GridX Calibration provides the best proxy for validating the accuracy of GridX Digital Rate Models and the data inputs.

Also known as shadow billing, Calibration compares the GridX calculated bill with the Utility bill. This automated process ensures GridX Digital Rate Models have the correct logic and all data inputs are the same as the utility source system. Calibration compares each line item on the bill and other billing elements including the GridX usage and the Utility billed usage.
